This April, we celebrated our third consecutive year at the Calgary International Salsa Congress.
We are grateful to see our Montuno family growing with amazing individuals we call students and friends.
For this year’s congress, we had the pleasure of putting together four dance teams: The Mambo Team, The Bachata Team, The Morena Ladies Team, and The Guajira Ladies Team. They all took the challenge to compete and perform in showcase categories. We couldn’t be prouder of how they were inspired by other companies, instructors, and fellow dancers, especially since this was, for many of them, their first exposure to a dance congress.
This year, we had over 30 entries in the heats competition, bringing home some fantastic awards and recognitions for our teams:
